The 2nd Generation Civic Type R

Category: Auto

The second generation of the Honda Civic Type R was released in the year 2001 and was produced until the year 2005. The second version of this already popular car featured an EP3 chassis that differed from the EK9 of the previous generation. The car featured several advantages over its older sibling.
The EP3 model was a three door hatchback that was produced in England. It featured many of the components that made the first generation so popular but it lacked specialty features such as the Recaro seats.
Like the previous generation, the second generation of this Honda Type R was a top seller around the world. One of the reasons for this was due to its impressive numbers, such as the top speed of 147 mph along with a 0-100 mph speed of 16 seconds.
